365 Edits - Day #109

As a proud Ice Skating Parent the next few days will be shameless and boastful but dedicated to the quite hard art of getting Ice Skating pics looking their best with all that Damn white everywhere.  The main art to this is getting the settings right before you start shooting and the post processing is then just tweaking white balance, contrast and exposure as well as a bit of clarity and sharpness here and there,  Shooting single skaters is easy as single f2.8 lens will suit but for a synchronised team there is a variance in depth of field so shooting at f2.8 won't get them all in sharp focus as required. This is stopped down to f4 and even then theres still some noticeable softness to the edges.  My daughter is the one showing the rest how the dominant scary faces are to be done.
